COVID-19 News (Continually Updated Article)
This article will continue to be updated as we receive information on how our library is being affected during this pandemic and how we are still serving you. The latest information will be the top bullet point(s) and older information will be towards the bottom of the list. Please check back periodically to stay up to date.
•There will be a virtual board meeting 5/13 at 7 p.m. Details to follow
•For patrons who have items out, whether electronic or physical items, the computer system has automatically renewed them for you until further notice. Once libraries re-open, the due date will be one week after their re-open date. If you are done with your item before then, you may return it in our drop box, or if it is an electronic item, you can still "return" it on the app, or it will automatically disappear on the due date if it is not renewed again.
•The April board meeting has been cancelled
•During this time, you may continue to return items in our drop box and renew items at clnp.illshareit.com.
•Our BINGO game is being suspended until we reopen.
•The Illinois Heartland inter-library loan services has temporarily been suspended.
•We have 2 HP Chromebooks available to Clifton residents that have an active library card. If you are interested in borrowing one, please e-mail us at: cliftonpubliclibil@gmail.com and we will make arrangements for you.
•Don't forget to participate in the 2020 census which helps libraries like ours get our funding! You can do so by visiting: www.2020census.gov
•The library will continue to be closed until further notice
•You still have access to many e-books and e-audiobooks through Libby, Overdrive, cloudLibrary, and Digital Library of Illinois. Please follow the links to the righthand side of this website for links to all online services. Also, we are aware that these sites may have glitches or run slowly due to the systems getting overloaded so please be patient.
